First Canadian edition. Hardcover. First printing. The fourth novel from the Booker Prize winning author of "The Remains of the Day." and winner of the 2017 Nobel Prize for Literature. A clean near fine copy with some slight bumping to the base of the spine in a near fine price clipped dust jacket with some very minor wear. Signed by Ishiguro on the title page.
Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. Jacket Design - Barbara De Wilde and Chip Kidd (illustrator). 1st Edition. First US edition, first printing ("FIRST AMERICAN EDITION" - stated on the copyright page). A near fine book: there is a small (about 1 cm.x 1/2 cm.), irregularly shaped light-brownish stain on the lower spine, affecting a couple of letters in the stamped publisher's name. This is the only flaw. Otherwise the book is fine: crisp, clean, sharp-cornered, unfoxed, and very likely unread. The dustjacket is fine, 'as new' (unclipped, unfaded, and uncreased, with no visible wear. The book is signed in black ink on the full title page, beneath the author's printed name. The signature was probably obtained in the month of publication, and there is provenance to that effect: laid into the book is a small orange and black card from CHAPTERS Literary Bookstore advertising "An Evening With Kazuo Ishiguro" on Friday, October 13th at 7 pm. The book was published in October, 1995. Signed by Author(s).
