With numerous fantastical colour illustrations by Steadman, many double-paged. Publisher's white hardcovers screen-printed in black, colour-illustrated dust-jacket. To the half-title is a most personal painted caricature of author Hunter S. Thompson, dated 2006, in trademark blood red ink with flamboyant splashes, some of which are offset to the jacket. Both letters 'O' from the printed 'LONO' have been used to form the lenses of the good Doctor's trademark specs, depicted in typical style with cigarette and Lake Bucket hat. A fine copy. Originally published in a quarto format in 1983, this new folio edition features striking full-colour illustrations from Thompson's long-time friend and collaborator Ralph Steadman.
